it is good to hear from Pappu that IV is ready to take up this issue ...but till someone comes foward ..can IV focus on other issues like recapture, removal of country limits etc (there is no shortage of issues where focus is needed)

You keep posting the same thing over and over again. I remember some questions some of the members asked you and I guess you conveniently ignored it.

Let me remind you those questions.
1) Why did you not contribute to the funding drive?
2) If IV core team agrees to work on everything you want, what are you willing to do? What will be your contribution in terms of time, effort and money?

If you have a plan where we can make something happen, please make a detailed document on how you are planning to achieve the objectives and send it to info@immigrationvoice.com. If you plan makes any sense, I'm sure core will be happy to work with you.

5. I will be buying a house now since I am on H-1B, and also have a pending I-485 and approved EAD

There may be many like me who would vote for the above. But I guess this would probably be detrimental to what this poll is trying to achieve?

So, only "US-educated folks" are entitled for H1? Is that what you are saying? And only that is a principled stand and rest everything is falsehood?
IEEE believes that ppl educated in the US should not be sent back and should actually stay here. I agree with that stance. After all, they want what is best for ppl born here and those who have been educated here. It is IEEE-USA :)

One of the main reason for EB3 in 2001 is From 2000 to 2003 they increased H1b from 65 to 180K. Most people came those time was BA, BSC and B TECH. So most would have applied by EB3 and also from 2000 more than 60% of H1bs were Indians. It may take a few more years to clear 2001 to 2003. But there could be some spill over from Eb2 in 2 years time. So from 2012 Eb3 may move fast. Still 7 to 10 years waiting period may not change unless some bil or CIR is passed. But it should be noted that H1B Cap applications received this year is around 13500. So past 2 years slow down will make PD to improve.

We are looking at Annual Report of Immigrant Visa Applicants - http://www.travel.state.gov/pdf/WaitingListItem.pdf

On Page 1. - "The petitions of applicants who will be processed at an overseas post are forwarded by CIS to the Department of State"

Our Interpretation: As USCIS processes I140 Applications, and I140 Applications has Field for Consular Processing options, they would Direct those Applications to DOS Via Above Process.

Question:
Are this Numbers are total VISA demand recorded at DOS?

Does this vote gives us an overview of how the PDs might be spread out all over? From this poll, it looks like there are not many applications from Jan 2005 onwards as compared to prior to Jan 2005.

Once that back log is cleared, things wont be as bad for the rest? What do you think?

When they issue RFE, does the case status online shows Card/Document production?. My status changed to Card/Document production 10 days ago and I did not receive any document or card yet. And the level 2 officer said that my application is still pending?. So I am confused with the online status.

Might this because, more people than normal reported their numbers on during this period? Most of these folks were surprised by EB2 retrogression...just a thought.

However, i must say that your point sounds plausible.

I am amazed to see these new born baby members cropping up these days from nowwhere questioning IV. No wonder we are popular and feared by anti immigrants. If you guys think IV cannot do something, then go have beer and eat chips. If you think IV can do something, then tell your lobbyists to oppose our lobbyists and stop us.
